As with many mountain states, Memorial Day weekend is the official kick-off to summer in Montana! We’re looking forward to long sunshine-filled days, crisp evenings and plenty of chances to soak up summer and play under Montana’s big blue sky.

As we look ahead to this summer, here’s what’s happening at Saddlehorn, our mountain community in Bigfork, Montana.

1. Our pool and boathouse are OPEN.

A community favorite, our pool and boathouse opened for the season on Friday, May 23. We’ve added a few new additions for this year, including two large cantilevered pool umbrellas and some new furniture on the upper level of the Boathouse.

2. Life at Flathead Lake.

We’re happy to share that MacKenzie River Pizza is BACK for another season at the Saddlehorn Marina Bar and Restaurant, located on Flathead Lake in Woods Bay. The marina and restaurant are open to the public, with the official start date of Monday, June 16. As a reminder, Saddlehorn residents can place an order at the bar or restaurant and have it delivered to the boathouse, our private facility on Flathead Lake for residents, located next door to the marina.

Old Faithful Watersports – located at Saddlehorn Marina – will be open June 15-September 15. In terms of rental options, they have boats, stand-up paddleboards, wave runners and pontoon boats available for rent.

3. Tend a plot in the community garden.

Our community garden is getting underway – if you’d like to help plan what to plant or dig your hands into the Montana dirt, we’d love your help.

From us to you, we’re wishing you a beautiful summer!
